Our source today is a TV news report from NBC-Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. We know that green tea is full of good-for-you antioxidants and polyphenols, especially ECGC. This news report centered around Dr. Stephen Hsu who is a researcher and product developer in the Augusta area at the Medical College of Georgia.
As stated in the report, Dr. Hsu worked on a Chinese tea farm and was intimately involved in the growing, picking and processing of tea. He grew up to be a green tea researcher.
Some of the benefits of green tea, such as destruction of cancer cells and reduction of wrinkles, led him to developing green tea products. He has green tea gum, green tea mints, green tea eye cream and soon will have a green tea anti-dandruff shampoo that does not use the carcinogenic coal tars of present anti-dandruff shampoos. The report says the green tea products are available locally in Augusta and specifically names Walgreens. Think I will check out my local one for the products. Maybe Vitamin Cottage will have it as that is where I like to shop in our small town.
The text at our source is a pretty good rendering of the report in the video at the top. You do need to let the commercial play first before you will get the news report. During the video you will see some of the products that Dr. Hsu has presumably created. The mints and gum appear to be a Mega-T brand and the cosmetic line is from Sudden Change. Some of the Sudden Change products are “Green Tea Night Repair Eye Cream”, “Under Eye Firming Serum”, and “Facial Cleaning Mousse”. There are more as you can see in the video.
